During the academic year 2020 - 2021, we were very fortunate to receive funding from our academy trust to rebuild three of the classrooms and our outdoor area for our Early Years area. The Elliot cabins that had been in place for many years were replaced with three modern classrooms which are joined to the old building via a light and airy link corridor.
Last year was not without its challenges! Two of the Elliot cabins were placed on the car park which meant that we had to operate a drop off and pick up system for our pupils and we are very grateful to our parents and families who remained flexible during this time. One class was in the hall for the year which also meant we had to work around being without this space along with the field which was used by the builders through the year. Staff and pupils worked with these arrangements through the year and the result was a fabulous new building which has made a tremendous difference to our environment, our pupils and staff.
We are grateful to Leons builders for completing this project with such professionalism and with as minimal disruption as possible and to Sheppards Building and Planning Consultancy for the fantastic planning and working with us to ensure we have this fabulous building.
Please see the albums below for photos of the build. The photos on the right show our school before and during the build. The photos on the left are of the final couple of months of work and the classrooms and corridor as they are now.
