Trip to Masjid-E-Noor Mosque and Gloucester Cathedral May 2018
This term we have been considering fashion and clothing through the ages! We started by looking at the Stuart era and are working our way through to the modern day.  We have had a great time designing different items to do with each era....Stuart dolls all dressed up......Fans from the Georgians......Mourning brooches from the Victorians...!
What have we been investigating in Science this year? Take a look at our class album which will be updated each term with exciting experiments!
Building Bridges - Visit to Clifton Suspension Bridge and Bristol Harbour
On Friday 22nd September, Goldfinch Class went on their first trip of the year. As we are learning about how bridges are built, we visited Bristol and Clifton Suspension Bridge. First of all we had a tour of the bridge and learned all about the history of how it came to be built. We took part in a workshop where we built our own bridges and there was a competition to see which group had made the strongest bridge. Weights were balanced on each bridge in turn!

After lunch, we boarded one of the ferry boats for a tour around the harbour. We looked at all the different bridges that surround the harbour.
