Collective Worship

Collective Worship at Longney C of E Primary Academy
"Collective worship is an important time of the day at Longney Church of England Primary School. Worship plays a key role in promoting the school’s Christian values. Children say that they enjoy worship because ‘we have opportunities to learn and reflect about Jesus’" SIAMS report 2014
Our daily Christian based Collective Worship plays a central part in the life of our academy. All teachers have the opportunity to lead worship across the week. We come together as a school community on Monday, Wednesday and, with our families and friends through celebration worship, on a Friday. Key Stage worship takes place on Tuesday and class worship on Thursday. We also invite members of our church, local or wider community to come and lead worship. And sometimes we celebrate worship at our Forest School or in our Spiritual Garden.
